Film production gets boost in Sudbury

A Sudbury film production has received $1 million from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC) to boost the Northern film industry. The production of The Truth, which is filming this weekend in Sudbury, will create 150 local jobs.

Essar profits up

Essar's profits are up for the second consecutive quarter. In the three-month period ending Sept. 30, Essar Steel Algoma reported a net income of $73.7 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of $86.
