College fund boosted by donation

Sault College has once again received a donation towards its capital fundraising campaign, with Chartwells Education Dining Services donating $100,000 to the cause.

Sault College has once again received a donation towards its capital fundraising campaign, with Chartwells Education Dining Services donating $100,000 to the cause.

“As the country’s leading food service provider, Chartwells Education Dining Services supports and encourages charitable initiatives and community investment with our associates and partners in areas where we do business,” Ross Munro, Chartwells president, said in a news release. “We are happy to support Sault College in this worthy cause.”

The Inspiring Growth Campaign is aiming to raise $6 million for upgrades to campus facilities, in addition to increasing student scholarships and bursaries.

It is being described as “the most significant fundraising initiative the College has undertaken in its 45-year history.”
