Nipissing University is staging a second biomass conference in North Bay, Nov. 22-23.
The conference, entitled: Harnessing Biomass II: Support for Northern Ontario Bioeconomy Initiatives, is at the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park.
The event is aimed at increasing knowledge about Ontario's bioeconomy and to provide support for local forest and agricultural initiatives. The conference will feature field trips to recent forest biomass harvesting operations, along with sessions on wood pellet production, gasification technologies, boiler installation and community district heating.
The cost of the conference is $50, which includes coffee, lunch and conference materials.
