Labour dispute ends

Domtar Inc. reached a deal in early May with its striking workers to end a seven-month-old labour dispute by mill workers at its Nairn Centre operations near Sudbury. The pact was reached after a 100-hour bargaining session over five days in Toronto.

Snowmobile trail expansion

Plans to build a four-season trail bridge across the Vermilion River near Espanola received a $62,746 boost from FedNor. The 36-metre span is necessary to reroute an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club trail closer to Espanola and Nairn Centre.
