The Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association (SAMSSA) is hoping to instill an appreciation for mining in a new generation with a free family fun day for its members and their families.

The Northern Policy Institute will study the idea of a basic income guarantee (BIG) this fall during a conference in Sudbury. The conference will be held Oct. 5-6 at the Hellenic Centre in Sudbury’s south end.
