By Mark Ladan FRENCH RIVER - A boost in snowmobile traffic between Parry Sound and Sudbury is anticipated by the winter of 2002-03. By then two specially built bridges for snowmobiles will be complete across the French and Pickerel Rivers.

An undisclosed private development group is the new owner of the former Shell property on the Parry Sound waterfront. The sale of the 10-acre property closed in late October after months of negotiations between Shell and the buyers.

Parry Sound is one step closer to enhancing tourism in the area through the development of Parry Sound Place.
