Denison Environmental Services (DES) was established in 1997 as a division of Denison Mines Corp. Headquartered in Elliot Lake, ON (ISO 9001:2008 certified), DES also has regional offices in Sudbury, ON; Rouyn-Noranda, QC; Whitehorse, YT; Saskatoon, SK; and, Toronto, ON.

DES was originally established to undertake the closure of the Elliot Lake Denison Mine sites and has since expanded to service the needs of the mining community across Canada in mine closure, remediation, monitoring, care and maintenance, and demolition services. Since 1997, DES has completed numerous projects for companies and regulatory agencies in a variety of mine commodities, including uranium, iron, gold, nickel, copper, silver, lead, and zinc. Over the years the company has expanded its service portfolio to include mine restoration and closure planning, water management and treatment, environmental permitting and monitoring, aquatics monitoring, Aboriginal consultation, environmental management services, and project management.

DES feels its biggest asset is as being part of a mining company, we have carried out the care and maintenance and long-term monitoring of our own closed mine sites for the past 17 years and understand how important it is to have a cost-effective, quality solution. Being on the ground, day in and day out, has taught DES how to competitively cost a project, mobilize teams quickly, and be on the ground in a short period of time providing the service that you require.

We are proud to announce the expansion of our Environmental Consulting Services group with the opening of our Sudbury, ON office, allowing us to grow and better service our current and future clients.
