Some Sudbury city councillors are not happy with the private sector's response to a local convention centre.

A municipally owned call centre in Sudbury, closed since December, is calling people back to work after being sold to a Toronto operator. Capreol Connex, which was owned by the former Capreol Community Development Corp.

The City of Greater Sudbury council has adopted a short-term and long-term financial plan to deal with this year's budget. The long-term financial plan will be developed to address the city's fiscal needs for the next 10 years.

Collège Boréal received about $400,00 for the college's apprenticeship programs through a $3.7-million funding program set up by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
