Porter Airlines is restoring summer service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Muskoka Airport in June.

The Toronto-based regional carrier announced flights will start June 24 and conclude September 6.

The 20-minute flight service between the Toronto Island airport and Muskoka will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

The Toronto departure time is 2:25 p.m.

The Muskoka departure is 3:45 p.m.

Porter said roundtrip fares as low as $164 are available to those who book by March 8.

Porter initially introduced service in June 2019.

The Muskoka Airport, located on Highway 11 half-way between Bracebridge and Gravenhurst.

“We look forward to bringing our passengers back to Muskoka after two seasons away due to the pandemic,” said Porter president-CEO Michael Deluce in a Feb. 22 news release. “The picturesque Muskoka region is less than a 30-minute flight from downtown Toronto, making it more accessible for Torontonians, as well as other Porter travellers in Canada and the U.S.”

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Porter Airlines back to the Muskoka Airport this summer,” said James Murphy, executive director of RTO12, the regional tourism organization. “As in our successful first season, we will run the Explorers’ Edge shuttle service to disperse visitors across the greater region, with details to be announced shortly.”
