Consulting firm gets innovation funding

Story Environmental , a Haileybury-based environmental consulting firm, has received $25,000 in federal funding to expand its operation. The funding will be used to innovate, develop the company’s product line, and create employment.

Story Environmental, a Haileybury-based environmental consulting firm, has received $25,000 in federal funding to expand its operation.

The funding will be used to innovate, develop the company’s product line, and create employment. The company does assessments, monitoring, and reporting for air, water, landfills and more.

In addition, the Centre culturel ARTEM will receive $89,868 to establish a Christmas-themed marketplace in the City of Temiskaming Shores for the 2014 holiday season.

Money comes from FedNor’s Northern Ontario Development Program, which supports projects that promote sustainable community economic development, enhance business development and growth, and facilitate innovation throughout the region.
