Northern Development and Mines Minister Rick Bartolucci heralded a new era of cooperation and partnership between the province and municipalities to fix “eight years of northern neglect” by unveiling the McGuinty’s Northern Prosperity Plan at Sudbury’s Cambrian College, June 10.

With dozens of politicians and community leaders from Sudbury and across northeastern Ontario in attendance at the college’s high-tech eDome lecture hall for a web-cast news conference, Bartolucci laid out the eight-month-old Liberal government’s vision to revive and grow the North’s economy.
