TIMMINS — Dec. 19, 2023: The Downtown Timmins BIA board of management is excited to announce that Cory Robin has been selected as the executive director of Downtown Timmins.

Cory Robin, a serving city councillor for Ward 5 and lifelong Timmins resident, is well-versed in the history, people and opportunities of downtown Timmins. Cory, having a broad business background, understands what businesses require during the constantly evolving post-COVID world.

With experience in city politics, Cory is a direct line from concerns to actions. The BIA board of management is confident that Cory can effectively represent the needs of the BIA membership.

Cory is a graduate of the business program at Northern College and has been involved in growing businesses in Northern Ontario. He brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Downtown Timmins.

“As vice-president of the BIA board of management, I led a robust discussion about the future of the BIA, our challenges, our options and where our opportunities lay," Sherry McNeil-Tremblay, board vice-president, said.

"With Mr. Robin absent from these discussions, we, as a board, believe that Mr. Robin is more than capable to lead the organization and support our members.”
