SafetyCo Partners, which provides safety consulting and training services, has expanded to Northern Ontario.
The Toronto-headquartered company has established its Northern Ontario division, SafetyCo North, in Sault Ste. Marie, following the acquisition of the health and safety division of Norpro.
The company provides safety consulting, industrial and construction safety training, site inspection, and confined space rescue.
SafetyCo North will serve the industrial, construction, and mining sectors.
Mark Ferrier, a co-founder at SafetyCo Partners, made the announcement on social media in early June.
“This transition is about more than expansion — it's about bringing our innovative total safety spectrum approach to one of Canada's most dynamic industrial regions,” Ferrier said.
“The team's deep local expertise, trusted client relationships, and proven track record in Northern Ontario's challenging environments are an incredible addition to our integrated safety solutions.”
SafetyCo North maintains an office in the Sault, but serves a number of key northern communities including Timmins, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and North Bay.
The company additionally has a network of training centres throughout central and southern Ontario.
