Keewaywin First Nation received a FedNor contribution of $250,000 toward the development of information and communications technology (ITC) applications.
The money will be used to renovate an existing building to house an e-business centre and community-based activity related to Industry Canada's SMART project.
The centre will be a demonstration site for the Keewaytinook Okimakanak SMART project and will be used to show the benefits of ITC for economic, social and cultural development of a community.
