The Hearst Economic Development Corporation is presenting a “Mining for Non-Miners” workshop at the Inovo Centre, March 20.
In partnership with Collège Boréal, participants will hear presentations from Brian Atkinson and Suzanne Halet from the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines on how the mining development cycle work and what are the supply needs.
The speakers will also discuss the differences between underground and open-pit mines and the social and environmental impacts of mining.
The March 20 workshop will run from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
