Orefinders Resources picked up an additional 1,190 hectares of land along strike from its Mirado gold project near Kirkland Lake.
The property, to the northwest of Mirado, increases the Vancouver junior miner’s landholdings by more than 50 per cent to 2,200 hectares.
The company said the land pickup provides an additional six highly prospective gold occurrences to explore this summer.
Last year’s drill program at Mirado outlined an inferred resource of 442,000 ounces of gold with an average grade of 1.29 grams per tonne.
