Vale Inco is beginning their aerial seeding program and has also announced Garson Mine's 100 anniversary in operation.
Vale Inco is proceeding with its aerial seeding program concentrating on barren and reclamation land around the company's operations.
The company began seeding in 1990 and since then has treated more than 5,000 acres of land to date. This year much of the seeding will take place around the southeast of Coniston.
As well the company has also announced a 100 year anniversary for Garson Mine.
The mine has garnered several awards through the years including 2005 safety award by the Canadian Institute of Mining Metallurgy and Petroleum and another such award in 1945.
