Timmins Chamber of Commerce sees new faces

Members of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce have named three new individuals to the board of directors. Tembec's Alan Thorne, RBC Financial Group's Patty McGirr, and J.L.

Members of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce have named three new individuals to the board of directors.

Tembec's Alan Thorne, RBC Financial Group's Patty McGirr, and J.L. Richards & Associates' Bill Belanger were all elected to the 2010-2011 board. They will be sworn in at the Chamber's 61st annual general meeting, to be held in September at the local Days Inn and Conference Centre.

Each member of the board serves a two-year term, and can apply for re-election to a maximum of three terms.

In a release, incoming Chamber president Gary Marriott of NorthernTel hailed the new board as bringing different skills and experience to the table.
