Temex Resources Corp. has earned a 60 per cent interest in the Whitney Township Property from Porcupine Gold Mines (PGM) after completing $4 million in exploration.
PGM, a joint venture between Goldcorp Inc. and Goldcorp Canada Ltd., held the property, located in the Timmins gold camp.
The 2,155-acre property occurs within a four-kilometre, 10-million-ounce mine trend that includes the Broulan Reef and Hallnor Mines. The former Hallnor Mine had a historic production of more than 1.65 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 13.71 grams per tonne, making it one of the highest-grade gold mines in the camp.
