Tembec (TSX-CA:TMB) has been named one of Kimberly-Clark's suppliers of the year.
The award was presented to the Temiscaming, Quebec forest products company by Kimberly-Clark CEO Thomas Falk to recognize Tembec's leadership in providing Forest Certified Stewardship Council (FSC) certified pulp. FSC is recognized by consumers, governments and environmental groups as the most stringent certification standard in the industry.
This is the second consecutive year Tembec has received the 'Supplier of the Year' recognition.
“This award was the result of the combined efforts of all employees associated with our pulp production from the forest right through to the shipping floor,” said Tembec's Yvon Pelletier, Executive Vice President and President of the Pulp Group in an Aug. 11 statement. “It was accepted on their behalf, as well as for the company and is recognition that we should all take great pride in.”
