Tembec, Kapuskasing employees reach agreement

Tembec reached an agreement April 25 with its employees from its Kapuskasing newsprint mill, sawmill and forest operations, where Tembec employs a total of 582 employees, of which 498 are unionized.

This collective agreement covers a five-year contract that will expire in April, 2017.

“This agreement would not have been achieved without the support and hard work from all local union leaderships, as well as those at the national and international levels,” said Marc Tremblay, Tembec chief negotiator.
