The 20 Ontario franchisee owners of home medical equipment (HME) company MEDIchair have come together to officially form MEDIchair Ontario, Canada's first provincial HME franchise company, to be.
led by Sudbury entrepreneur Norm Gervais, owner of MEDIchair Sudbury.
Gervais will serve as president of MEDIchair Ontario, which will function on a co-operative business model, giving each of the 20 franchise owners a single vote and equal share of the profits.
Sudbury will become the corporate headquarters for MEDIchair Ontario, and additional full-time administrative staff has been hired to manage the new company.
