The Sudbury & District Home Builders' Association has elected its board of directors for 2012.
Marc Levasseur, owner of MGL Drafting & Consulting, has been elected president. His goals for the year include enhanced member benefits and member recruitment and an emphasis on the benefits of hiring a professional from the residential construction industry to build or renovate a home.
“The first step toward accomplishing these goals is to ensure that information is widely available to the public and to accent the professionalism of our members,” Mr. Levasseur said in a news release. “I am very excited about the board of directors for the year 2012. We have representation from a wide range of well-respected builders, renovators, suppliers and professional services. With this calibre of talent, we can continue to grow the association and improve services to members and the public alike.”
Phil Monkhouse of Monkhouse Homes has been named first vice-president, while Michael Giles of Convoy Supply Ltd. will serve as second vice-president. Chris Jollineau of Fisher Wavy will act as treasurer, and Joanne Caouette of Lifestyle Homes Inc. will serve as past president. The board is rounded out by an additional 10 members.
Since 1959 the Sudbury & District Home Builders’ Association has been the voice of the residential construction industry. The membership includes local builders, renovators, suppliers and professionals.
