Sudbury hires new infrastructure manager

Greater Sudbury has hired Tony Cecutti as its new general manager of infrastructure services, effective Aug. 7. Cecutti replaces Greg Clausen, who retires from the position after nearly three decades of municipal service.

Greater Sudbury has hired Tony Cecutti as its new general manager of infrastructure services, effective Aug. 7. Cecutti replaces Greg Clausen, who retires from the position after nearly three decades of municipal service.

"I’m very excited that Tony has chosen to join our senior leadership team at the city,” said Doug Nadorozny, chief administrative officer. “Not only is he a lifelong Sudburian devoted to this community, but his years of experience as a leader in the construction industry and his commitment to the field of public infrastructure and engineering will serve our city and our organization well."

Cecutti has more than 25 years of experience in the field of municipal infrastructure and was most recently employed as a senior manager with AECOM Canada Ltd.

In his role with the city, he will administer a $145.2-million budget, report directly to the CAO and manage a staff of 619. His areas of oversight include construction services, roads and transportation, water/wastewater, transit, fleet and engineering.
