Tough economic times are being reflected in the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce's membership fees, which are being discounted by 25 per cent across all categories.

The new rate, which took effect on July 1, will continue through to June 30, 2010.
This will translate to savings of $72.50 for the smallest size of member businesses, including "single office" or "home office" members. Larger businesses in other categories will see a reduction of anywhere from $100 to $670 in their membership fees.

"The board of directors felt that the economic pressures facing many businesses and entrepreneurs in the community over the past year highlighted need for the Chamber to do its part and provide them with meaningful savings," said Steve Irwin, chair, in a release.
