Ursa Major Minerals has added some new managers.
Eric Loch has been appointed vice-president of mine operations and projects, while Victor Huge is the new financial controller.
Loch has 15 years experience in managing mining and construction projects globally. He previously worked for the Iron Ore Company of Canada, DeBeers, DRA Americas and Shell Africa. Loch has been with Ursa Major since 2007.
Hugo has been an accounting professional with 15 years experience, mainly in the mining and manufacturing sectors. He has worked for Avgold, Avmin's coal division and Bosal Africa.
Company president Richard Sutcliffe said Loch has done an “excellent job” bringing their Shakespeare nickel mine (west of Sudbury) into commercial production over the past year and Hugo brings “considerable accounting experience” into the fold.
The miner also announced that Chris Chadder has resigned as CFO. Hugo will serve as Interim CFO.
