The Sudbury Airport Community Development Corp. (SACDC) has appointed new directors to its board, following the resignation of two of its members.
Manfred Herold, a founding director who has served for eight years, and Rachel Prudhomme, a representative of the Greater Sudbury Development Corp. who served for two years, have indicated their intentions to step down.
Vince Pollesel, owner of Crosstown Chevrolet, and Scott Lund, CEO of MCTV, will replace the two departing directors.
The Sudbury Airport Community Development Corp. was formed and assumed ownership and governance of the airport following the transfer of the facility from Transport Canada under the National Airports Policy on March 31, 2000. A 12-member volunteer board of directors oversees the affairs of the airport.
The composition of the board includes two City of Greater Sudbury councillors, two appointments from the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC), seven citizens and one ex-officio, non-voting director, which is the CAO of the City of Greater Sudbury.
