Seine River First Nation is receiving funding from the province's Northern Communities Investment Readiness initiative.
The Jan. 18 Ministry of Northern Development and Mines release, which did not disclose how much funding the northwestern Ontario band is receiving, will complete an inventory of its community assets, update its web profile and host an investment readiness strategy workshop to attract new business and create jobs.
Since 2006, this initiative has invested more than $2.6 million for 281 projects across Northern Ontario.
