The maker of super calendar paper announced all three paper machines will be back on-line by Aug. 13.

Weak market demand cut the paper production in May to avoid a large inventory build-up. During the spring production cuts, 60 employees of its 300-member workforce was laid off. The July 29 release made no mention of any employee recalls.

In a statement, company president Gordon Acton said the American black liquor tax credit only compounded weak market conditions and created competitive disadvantages. But he said the company successfully operating one machine and was able to maintain customer service and market share.

“It has proven that the three paper machine platform can be flexible business model during challenging times,” said Acton.
