Carillion, Ellis-Don Inc. and Sault Area Hospital (SAH) have been recognized by Sling-Choker Manufacturing with its 5-Star Energy Award.
According to a news release, the award “recognizes facilities that conserve natural resources and put their employees, visitors and customers first when improved indoor air quality is considered.”
“The hospital qualified for the award by demonstrating its continued commitment to saving energy while providing quality indoor air throughout its facility,” reads the release. “The facility has a selection of air filters that have the 5-Star Energy Cost Index (ECI) rating, placing the company in the top 20 per cent of customers worldwide that have chosen to make a difference in energy usage.”
SAH opened in March 2011 as a state-of-the-art facility serving a population of roughly 120,000 across the Algoma District.
