The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 2012 Business Awards and the Athena Award.
Awards in nine categories will be bestowed to deserving businesses and entrepreneurs during the chamber’s annual general meeting in October.
Categories include the entrepreneur or business of the year; diversity; business development; environment; customer service; marketing; safe work, sound business; young entrepreneur or business of the year; and employer of choice.
The Athena Award will be bestowed on an individual who is recognized for their professional excellence, providing valuable service to their community and for actively assisting women in attainment of their professional goals and leadership skills.
Eligible nominees must be members in good standing with the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce, have been in business for a minimum of three years, and demonstrate how they meet the criteria.
The deadline for submissions is June 18.
