The Municipality of Red Lake is developing Nungesser Road Industrial Park, located near Goldcorp Red Lake Gold Mines and the Red Lake Airport.
Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, announced the $2.6 million Government of Canada investment, through FedNor, with some of the funds allocated to economic and small business development.
More than $2.3 million will be used to extend water, sewer, hydro and telephone service to half of the 80 proposed lots. This project will include tender, design, management and construction phases.
The anchor tenant for the industrial park will be Two Feathers Forest Products, a manufacturing value-added production facility on-site.
