Queenston Mining has appointed Philip Ng as its chief operating officer.

Ng arrives by way of Claude Resources where he was a senior vice-president of mining operations of the Seabee and Madsen gold mines in Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario respectively.

Ng spent five years with INCO where he rose through the ranks to become chief mining engineer at Sudbury's Coleman McCreedy East Mine.

Queenston has six developing assets in the Kirkland Lake gold camp in northeastern Ontario, including its flagship Upper Beaver project.

Company president Charles Page said Ng has all the credentials and experience to lead the Upper Beaver development.

“He is an excellent addition to the Queenston team and an important step in achieving our goal of moving towards production.”
