Drilling at Quadra FNX Mining Ltd.'s Victoria property continues to expand mineralized systems bearing copper and nickel at the Sudbury-area site.
Eleven holes drilled since May have intersected one particular zone in 10 places, tracing its vertical length over 3,000 feet. Grades from this zone have increased as the company digs deeper.
Exploration at the site will continue so as to provide sufficient data to help management decide whether or not to sink an exploration shaft in the next six months.
Six drill rigs continue to turn on the Victoria property, where Quadra FNX has upped its exploration budget to US$9 million through the second half of the year.
“While there is no assurance yet that this project is commercially viable, results to date demonstrate a deposit of some significance,” said Paul Blythe, president and CEO, in a release.
