Premier Gold Mines reports finding more high grade gold at its Hardrock Project near Geraldton in northwestern, Ontario.
The company is working on delineation and exploration drilling for the rest of this year and expects to deliver a Ni 43-101 resource calculation by year's end.
The project is joint venture with Roxmark Mines (Premier holds a 70 per cent stake) and the land has been host to several past-producing mines which extracted nearly 3 million ounces of gold between 1938 and 1968.
The company said drilling at their EP Zone target “continues to exceed expectations” with mineralization stretching over a strike length of 650 metres and depths of 200 metres.
One drill result in their EP Zone showed 19.03 grams per tonne of gold across 11.3 metres and 17.16 grams per tonne across 9.5 metres in step-out drilling.
The rest of the year will be spent defining the open pit and underground mineralization in advancing the property toward advanced exploration and feasibility.
