The city received a $752,700 grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund to rebuild its wastewater infrastructure.

The intent is for the municipality to be able to attract new industrial and manufacturing activity to the area and retain current business tenants.

These upgrades are designed to aid Parry Sound in marketing the park as a full-service facility, stimulating the local economy by creating and retaining jobs.

In November 2004, the NOHFC contributed $164,443 to upgrade the Parry Sound Industrial Park water system to meet the requirements of the Drinking Water Systems Regulation.
