Angela Trudel-Johnston of North Bay's Westmont Hospitality Group is the Ted Day Tourism Award recipient for her passion and dedication to Northern Ontario's tourism industry.
She received the award at annual meeting of Ontario's Near North at the Best Western Hotel and Conference in North Bay.
Trudel-Johnston serves as Westmont's Regional Sales Manager providing leadership and support to 146 hotels across Canada.
Beginning at 16, Trudel-Johnston began work as the operator of Avon Product Sales and a 12-unit motel on Highway 11 North. She has served on Ontario's Near North board of directors in many capacities as well as with the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce and Women in Trades and Industry.
