The second president and CEO in the young history of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is coming from New Brunswick.

Andre Robichaud takes over the top job of the Thunder Bay hospital on Oct. 1. She replaces Ron Saddington, who is retiring.

Robichaud, who is the president and CEO of the Vitalit Health Network, based in Bathurst, has a 20 year career in health care.

Ron Nelson, chair of the hospital search committee, said Robichaud's leadership skills and experience are the right fit for organization.

"We have a very progressive acute care agenda as well as a unique academic and research mission, and our search for a new CEO confirms that we are the place where great people want to be," said Nelson in a July 5 statement.
