The company, which employs 320 staff, had two facilities in Sudbury and one in North Bay before this spring 2009. Now, the company has a third location 2,500-kilometres west of their main base in Sudbury.
The company manufactures mining equipment including hydraulic drill jumbos, dump trucks and rail hauling systems.
The Billings facility will be MTI's U.S. base and service the nearby Stillwater Mining Company.
