MPH Ventures Corp. (FWB:IJA1) is reporting drill core assay results from a hole completed by a previous operator of the Raney Gold Project in northeastern Ontario.
While examining the core from a drill hole, an unsampled section with quartz veining and other alteration was identified and sampled. The split section returned an assay of 14.38 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold over 1.7 metres.
The new assay results combined with the historical assay results average 3.91 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold over 17.2 metres.
"The review of the work by previous operators has provided us with some very positive results within the early stages of the exploration program,” said MPH president Jim Pettit. “The results demonstrate the exceptional exploration potential of the Raney project, with robust widths and grades. It is notable that only a couple of drill holes have ever tested this promising alteration system. At this point we have mobilized a drill to the property and look forward to future results from this intriguing property."
MPH Ventures has commenced the drilling of two holes as step-out holes to the east and west on strike to the historic drill holes.
