Mobile young entrepreneurs get funds

Two young northwestern Ontario entrepreneurs have received funding Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) Young Entrepreneur Program to start their mobile businesses.

 
Two young northwestern Ontario entrepreneurs have received funding Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) Young Entrepreneur Program to start their mobile businesses.

In Dryden, Adam Peterson received $25,000 to buy equipment for his business providing mobile oil changes and minor repair work to vehicles. He is competing against business that have up to a four-week wait period for automotive service.

In Kenora, Airborne Insulation, a new mobile foam insulation installation service catering to residential, recreational and commercial markets, received $25,000 from the Young Entrepreneur Program.

The Young Entrepreneur Program provides up to 85 per cent of the cost for entrepreneurs aged 18 to 29 in Northern Ontario who plan to start their own for-profit business.
