Lake Shore Gold has resumed operations at its Timmins West Gold Mine. The company suspended operations last week due to high winds and smoke from a forest fire west of the city.
Based on improving wind conditions and progress made in combating the forest fire, air quality at the mine site has returned to normal. The fire, which is currently the largest in Canada, still continues to burn.
