Northern Ontario mining equipment and services will be on display to the world at a pair of international industry expos and mining missions to be held in China and Mexico in October 2009.

The China mission, held from Oct. 13-28, will involve a visit to five mainland cities, and exhibiting at the Ontario/Canada pavilion at the China Mining Congress & Expo 2009 in Tianjin.

The China Mining 2008 event brought in 3,500 delegates from around the world.

The Mexico mission centers around four main activities, from Oct. 25-31.

This includes a meeting with executives of Industrias Penoles, whose nine operating mines resulted in 2007 revenues of $4.4 billion. A series of matchmaking sessions with various buyers, as well as manufacturing representatives will also be arranged.

The trip culminates in exhibiting with the Ontario contingent at the Canadian pavilion, at the 28th International Mining Congress and Exhibit, which runs from Oct. 25-31.
