MetalCorp has named Naomi Nemeth as the Thunder Bay mining company's new chief executive officer.
A director of the company since 2007, her appointment is effective immediately.
In an Oct. 19 news release, she has worked in the mining and mineral exploration industry for five years focusing on investor relations and corporate management. She has held senior positions with Homeland Energy Corp., African Copper PLC, Wolfden Resources, Sanatana Diamonds and Desert Sun Mining.
She has began her career as a field exploration geologist in the Yukon and Northern Ontario, and also has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
The company has a number of precious and base metal exploration properties in northwestern Ontario.
