Med school accreditation renewed

Full accreditation has been renewed for the Northern Ontario School of Medicine’s (NOSM) Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD) program for another five years.

Full accreditation has been renewed for the Northern Ontario School of Medicine’s (NOSM) Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD) program for another five years.

The decision was made following site visits to the Laurentian and Lakehead campuses in November 2011. The program will be reassessed in 2017.

“Upon presentation of the survey report, which was prepared by CACME’s visiting survey team, it was very apparent that the Northern Ontario School of Medicine has developed a reputation for high quality education programming,” school dean Dr. Roger Strasser said in a news release.
