Mattawa's Gin-Cor Industries cut the ribbon on a new 18,000-square-foot production facility.
The northeastern Ontario manufacturer specializes in heavy truck-mounted accessories such as dump boxes, cranes and roll-offs.
“We're very proud to open this new facility for the benefit of all our stakeholders; clients, suppliers, employees and the community,” said company president and CEO Luc Stang in a June 21 news release.
The expansion, grafted onto their existing 20,000-square-foot plant, was partly funded by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund. The groundbreaking began last year.
The increased production capacity has resulted in 12 new hires, plus an additional 12 to 15 new positions to bring the facility up to single-shift capacity.
