After months of construction, Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse opened its doors for the first time Dec. 7 in Sudbury. It’s the first Lowe’s in Northern Ontario and the latest location for the North Carolina-based department store that’s made major inroads in Canada since the first Canadian store opened two years ago.
Sudbury Mayor John Rodriguez was on-hand for the ribbon cutting of 135,000-square foot store located at the on a rocky site that required significant blasting to clear the area.
