Let there be labour peace in Kapuskasing

Tembec struck an agreement for a new five-year deal with its unionized workforce at its Kapuskasing operations.

Tembec struck an agreement for a new five-year deal with its unionized workforce at its Kapuskasing operations.

“This agreement would not have been achieved without the support and hard work from all local union leaderships, as well as those at the national and international levels,” said Marc Tremblay, Tembec's chief negotiator in a statement.

The newsprint mill, sawmill and woodland operations employ 582 employees, of which 498 are unionized.
