Highway 69 tenders announced

Two new contracts for the widening of Highway 69 are going to tender. One contract is for 11 kilometres between Highway 607 and and Highway 64 while the other is for nine kilomteres north of Highway 64.

Two new contracts for the widening of Highway 69 are going to tender.

One contract is for 11 kilometres between Highway 607 and and Highway 64 while the other is for nine kilomteres north of Highway 64.

The sections are expected to be open to traffic in 2015.

“This is about public safety and economic viability and I am pleased with the progress of this vital project thus far,” said Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci in a press release.

The province estimates the two contracts will create a total of 1,200 jobs.
