Sault College's Inspiring Growth fundraising campaign has received a boost from Henderson Metal Fabricating Co. Ltd.
The company donated $10,000 to the campaign, which seeks to raise $6 million for upgrades to campus facilities, in addition to increasing student scholarships and bursaries. It has been described as the most significant fundraising campaign in the college's 45-year history.
“Henderson Metal has been a part of Sault Ste. Marie for close to 60 years,” Henderson general manager Sandra Beckett said in a news release. “We appreciate the benefits of a strong post-secondary sector and especially the well-educated, skilled workforce Sault College provides for businesses like ours.”
“Sault College plays an invaluable role in our community,” campaign chair Jim Boniferro said in the release. “We are grateful for Henderson Metal's support of Sault College with their gift to the Inspiring Growth campaign.”
